  1. Florida is the most southern state in all of the United States of America. While Hawaii is technically the most southern state, Florida is the most southern continentally and geographically.

This is very rare and not found anywhere else in the world. You can find airboat tours in the Everglades and get right up close and personal to them. 
  3. The oldest inhabited city in the USA is located right here in Southern Florida. The city of St. Augustine was founded in 1565 and is still inhabited to this day, that’s incredible!

  5. Florida is the only state that has coastlines on both the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic!

  8. Florida produces more oranges than any other place in the world, our state is responsible for 40% of the world's oranges.
  9. This is the flattest state! Florida has an elevation of only 100 feet above sea level, and with its highest elevation located at the top of Britton Hill at 345 feet. 
  10. Florida is home to the most golf courses in all of the United States. There are more than 1,300 golf courses located in the state, Palm Beach County has the most golf courses. You can also visit the World Golf Hall of Fame and Museum in St. Augustine!
